The Cat Tent Bed gives your cat a small, enclosed den of their own — a dome-shaped fabric house with a cushioned base, a shaded interior and a mesh window for airflow. Cats instinctively look for covered, semi-dark spots to sleep in, and an open basket rarely delivers that. This tent does, while still folding down small enough to move between rooms or pack away out of season. It suits cats and small dogs, and comes in three sizes and eight colours and prints.
Why You'll Love It
- A private den, not just a bed. The covered dome shape gives shy and easily startled pets a place to retreat where they can still see the room through the doorway.
- It stays breathable. A mesh panel keeps air moving through the tent, so the inside doesn't turn stuffy the way a fully closed cave can.
- The cushion is built in. A padded mat sits in the base, so there's nothing extra to buy before your cat can use it.
- It folds flat. The flexible support rods slide out of their fabric loops, so the whole tent packs down for storage, travel or a trip to the vet.
- Three sizes, eight looks. Plain canvas in green or grey if you want it to disappear into the room, or floral, star-print, triangle-print and rabbit-ear styles if you'd rather it stood out.

A note on measurements
Dimensions are measured by hand and may vary by 1–3 cm. Because the shell is soft-sided, the tent will also shift shape slightly once your pet settles in.
Materials & Construction
The shell is a PU-coated fabric stretched over a set of thin flexible rods. The rods pass through fabric loops stitched along the outside of the canopy and cross at the apex, which is what holds the dome up — pull them out and the tent collapses flat. Webbing tabs at the base anchor the rod ends so the frame stays under tension. The base is a padded mat that sits inside the footprint of the tent.
Patterned styles add a decorative layer: sheer curtains that tie back at the doorway, pom-pom or ruffle trim along the canopy seam, and on the rabbit style a pair of stuffed ears at the top.
Perfect For
- Nervous or newly adopted cats that need a hiding place while they settle in
- Cats who sleep in wardrobes, cardboard boxes and laundry baskets
- Small apartments where a full cat tree won't fit
- Kittens and small dogs who like to burrow
- Cooler months, when an open bed feels draughty
- Giving a second cat in the household somewhere of their own
Care & Use
- Remove the rods before cleaning the shell.
- Spot clean the shell and cushion with a damp cloth and mild detergent; air dry fully before reassembling.
- Brush or vacuum the cushion regularly to lift trapped hair.
- Place the tent on a flat surface against a wall or beside furniture — cats settle faster when the entrance faces into the room.
- Keep it indoors and out of direct sun, which fades fabric over time.
- Creases from folding are normal and relax out after a day or two.
What's in the Box
- 1 x pet tent shell in your chosen colour and size
- 1 x cushioned base mat

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my cat actually use it?
Most cats take to enclosed beds quickly, but give it a few days. Putting a familiar blanket or a favourite toy inside, and placing the tent where your cat already naps, speeds things up considerably.
Is it hard to put together?
No. You thread the flexible rods through the fabric loops on the canopy and seat the ends in the tabs at the base. It's done by hand in a couple of minutes and needs no tools.
Can I fold it away?
Yes. Slide the rods out and the fabric shell folds flat, which makes it easy to store or take with you.
Which size should I choose?
Match the size to your pet's weight: S up to 3 kg, M up to 4 kg, L up to 5 kg. Cats that sprawl rather than curl will be more comfortable a size up.
Does it work for a small dog?
Yes — the same sizing applies. Small breeds that like to burrow under blankets tend to enjoy the covered shape.
Is it warm enough for winter?
The enclosed shape traps your pet's own body heat far better than an open basket, and the padded base insulates them from a cold floor. For an unheated room you can add a fleece blanket inside.
How do I keep it clean?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then let it air dry completely before putting the rods back in.
