LED Light-Up Dog Collar – USB Rechargeable Glow-in-the-Dark Nylon Safety Collar (XS–XL)

This LED light-up dog collar turns your dog into the most visible thing on the street. A bright light strip runs the full length of the soft nylon band, so drivers, cyclists and other walkers can pick your dog out from a long way off — and you can find your pup instantly in a dark yard, a wooded trail or a crowded off-leash park. It is USB rechargeable, comes in seven colours and five adjustable sizes from XS to XL, and it takes about ten seconds to fit.
Why a glowing collar beats a clip-on light
- 360° visibility — the light wraps all the way around the neck, so your dog is seen from the front, back and both sides. A single pendant light only points one way.
- Nothing to lose — the light is built into the collar itself, so it cannot swing off, snag on a bush or drop into long grass.
- Three light modes — constant glow for steady visibility, slow flash for casual walks, fast flash to grab a driver's attention near traffic.
- Rechargeable — top it up over USB instead of hunting for coin cells.
- It still works as a normal collar — a solid metal D-ring takes your leash and ID tag, so this replaces your everyday collar rather than adding a second one.
- Seven colours — pink, blue, red, black, orange, yellow and green, each glowing in its own shade.
Size guide — measure once, then pick your size
Every size adjusts across a range, so measure your dog's neck with a soft tape and choose the size whose range your measurement sits in the middle of. Leave room for two fingers between the collar and the neck.
| Size | Adjustable neck range | Neck range (cm) | Strap width | Typical breeds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 13.0–15.0 in | 33–38 cm | 0.79 in / 2 cm | Puppies, Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Maltese |
| S | 13.8–15.7 in | 35–40 cm | 0.98 in / 2.5 cm | Yorkie, Pomeranian, Dachshund, Shih Tzu |
| M | 15.0–17.7 in | 38–45 cm | 0.98 in / 2.5 cm | Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Corgi |
| L | 16.1–20.5 in | 41–52 cm | 0.98 in / 2.5 cm | Labrador, Golden Retriever, Border Collie, Husky |
| XL | 17.3–22.8 in | 44–58 cm | 0.98 in / 2.5 cm | German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Doberman, Bernese |
If your measurement falls where two sizes overlap, size up — the strap tightens down easily but it cannot be made longer.
How to set it up and use it
- Unpack the collar and find the small black button on the control housing.
- Remove the protective insulating tab tucked under the button if one is fitted. It is there to stop the collar lighting up in transit.
- Charge it fully before the first walk using the USB cable.
- Fit the collar — clip the side-release buckle shut, then pull the strap through the slider until you can just slip two fingers underneath.
- Cycle the light modes with the button: one press for constant glow, two presses for slow flash, three presses for fast flash, and four presses to switch it off.
Which colour to choose
- Orange and yellow — the warm amber glow reads as a hazard colour to drivers, so these are the strongest picks for roadside walking.
- Black — the webbing is black but the strip glows bright white, giving the highest contrast against dark backgrounds while looking neutral in daylight.
- Red — the classic tail-light look, very easy for traffic to read.
- Blue and green — the easiest to spot against street lighting and headlights, which are mostly warm-toned.
- Pink — bright and distinctive, handy if several dogs in your group wear light-up collars.

Who this collar is for
If you walk your dog before sunrise or after sunset for even part of the year, this is the cheapest safety upgrade you can make. It is especially worth it for owners who walk on roads without pavements, anyone with a dark-coated dog that vanishes at dusk, people with off-leash dogs in unfenced fields, owners of senior or deaf dogs who need to be tracked visually, and anyone whose dog uses a yard at night. Runners and cyclists who take their dog along get the same benefit — a moving light at knee height is one of the most noticeable things on a dark road.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the battery last on one charge?
Expect several hours of continuous glow from a full charge, and considerably longer on the flashing modes, since the LEDs are off for part of each cycle. Fast flash gives the longest runtime and the most attention-grabbing signal, so it is the sensible default for a short walk near traffic.
Can my dog wear it all day?
Yes. The nylon strap is light and soft enough to wear as an everyday collar with the light switched off, and the D-ring takes your leash and ID tag as normal. Switch the light on when the sun goes down.
Is it waterproof?
It handles rain, wet grass and puddles without a problem, but it is not a swimming collar. Take it off before your dog goes into water, and dry the strap and the button area if it gets soaked.
Will the light bother my dog?
No. The LEDs point outward and sit below the dog's line of sight, and they generate almost no heat. Most dogs do not notice the collar is lit at all.
How do I know which size to order?
Measure your dog's neck where the collar sits with a soft tape measure, then match that number to the adjustable range in the size table above. Pick the size where your measurement lands near the middle of the range rather than at either end.
Does the black version glow black?
No — the webbing is black but the light strip glows bright white. It is the most subtle option in daylight and the highest-contrast option at night, which makes it a popular choice for owners who do not want a brightly coloured collar.
Can I attach a leash directly to it?
Yes. There is a proper metal D-ring, so you can clip a leash or an ID tag straight to the collar. You do not need a second collar underneath.
What is the difference between this and your other LED collars?
This one is a nylon webbing collar with a buckle and a leash D-ring, so it works as a full replacement for your dog's everyday collar in five fitted sizes. Our fiber optic LED dog collar uses a glowing tube for a softer, more even light, and the cut-to-fit PVC LED collar is trimmed to length with scissors instead of coming in preset sizes. If you would rather keep your current collar, the clip-on LED collar light attaches to what you already own.
Will it work for a cat?
The XS size fits some larger cats, but a cat collar should always have a breakaway safety buckle, and this one does not. For cats, use our breakaway reflective AirTag cat collar instead.
How do I turn it off?
Press the button a fourth time. The sequence runs constant, slow flash, fast flash, then off, so you always return to off after cycling through all three modes.

Exactly what i was expecting and is brighter than i though. Delivery was quicker than estimated, and nothing was broken.
Worked as described, no batteries included so make sure you have triple a batteries (2) so you can use it within the time of it being delivered
It works as described, as a laser to play with cats. I struggled a little with the batteries, but i eventually figured it out, and it works fine. Like another person said, it doesn't stay on by itself. It only lights when you hold down the button. I was hoping it worked to point at the stars in the sky, but the laser isn't strong enough for that.
Perfect! Exactly as described. Nice bright pointer.
It works well, the light is quite strong, the only thing to keep in mind is that it comes without batteries; if you need them, you'll require two AAA batteries on hand, but otherwise, it's a very good product.
